Namdar Baghaei-Yazdi, B.Sc.(Hon.), Ph.D., DIC

Dr. Baghaei-Yazdi was educated at King’s College London (B.Sc.) and Imperial College London (Ph.D.) where he also did post-doctoral research. He worked on fermentation systems and microbiology of industrial bacteria at British Gas London Research Station and UK Atomic Energy Authority, Harwell. He was the winner of the prestigious 1993 French Cereal Prize for his research on the thermophilic ethanol fermentation process.
In 1993 he was the co-founder of Agrol Limited where he held the position of General Manager until 2003. Dr. Baghaei-Yazdi has been the managing director of BCTL since its foundation in 2003. He was a Research Consultant on a Shell Oil funded project at Imperial College, London (2003-2006) and also Scope Interlink Ltd., Guildford (2003-2004). He has also been a Visiting Research Fellow at the University of Surrey, Guildford since 2003.
